Michael sighed when he saw that the dice stopped and a two could be read on its surface. Michael sighed. It was not the best swap but not the worst either. Philipp might have been the best swap, he would have stayed a boy.
“Okay...”, sighed Michael again and dealt the cards. Everybody folded like they agreed and Michael came out on top. No surprise.
“Okay then… I want to swap lives with Josie.”, he said unenthusiastic. Nothing seemed to have changed but it had to work.
“It worked, right?”, asked Anna and hoped that life swaps could not be performed with these cards. Her mother smiled.
“Don’t worry.”, said Cindy and got put a family photo which she usually kept in her purse on the table. “I thought that it might get hard to see those swaps. So I thought we can check with a photo.”.
Everybody looked at the photo and confirmed that the swap really took place. In the photo Josie was in Michael’s place.
“I’m my boyfriend now…”, whispered Josie and tried to get used to the situation. “This is going to be… interesting.”.
“Whatever.”, sighed Michael. “Let’s continue.”. He pushed the dice over to his mother. “Here. It’s your idea. Roll the dice.”.
