Cindy wins, but Anna has some advice about what...

"Okay, my turn this time around, and I think," Cindy started, but was interrupted by Anna.

"I have an idea for you," Anna said with a smile.

"Anna," Cindy said, her tone just a touch winy. "I think I'm old enough to make a good decision here, and I have a great idea of something that would be a lot of fun."

"I know you do mom, but I really think you should listen to my idea," Anna pressed with a smile.

Deep down, Cindy knew she shouldn't have any problem plunging ahead with her own swap. She was looking at Michael and thinking it would be really funny to trade genders. She wondered how people would treat her if she were 'male.' Though it wouldn't be as cool as it would have been before she traded authority and respect with Anna, she still thought it would be interesting to see if people treated her better if she was male or if that was all a bunch of 'grass is always greener' thinking.

"Okay Anna," Cindy said, "What's your idea?"

"I think you should swap friends with Michael so you can hang out with all of us more for the next few days."

"Wow," Melody chimed in, realizing how that would change things since she had Jeremy's life. "That would be cool Cindy, you'd become my best friend!"

"You know Anna, that would be cool, but even if I do want to swap friends with Michael," Cindy said, not thinking before she spoke. "I still think my idea is cooler."

"Um, mom, I think you might just have done it."

"No, I can't have," she said. "I didn't say 'I want to swap friends with Michael', I said... oh wait... uh oh."

"Yeah," Michael said pulling out his phone and looking at his contacts. Jeremy was gone, so was Philip, along with most everyone he knew from school. In their place, he found twice as many contacts for women in their early thirties, some a little older and a few still in their late twenties. They were grouped into social circles... the 'Sisters of Alpha Delta Delta,' his mom's old sorority sisters to the neighborhood ladies club, the socialite women of the block who spent at least two days a week gossiping over tea and cards at one of their houses while their husbands were at work and the kids were at school. It was all there. "Yeah, it worked."

"It's okay Cindy," Melody said, throwing an arm around Michael's mom's shoulders. "I'm going to round up the guys tomorrow night and we'll go out for pizza and a party, you'll have a great time I promise."

"Okay guys," Anna said, picking up the cards to shuffle. "Two more hands and we're done."
