You look out the window of the tiny office at the bustling activity in the Plaza. A ding informs you that you have received an email. The monotonous days have dragged on. The only thing that keeps your company most days is the soft drone of the ceiling fan that lightens the oppressive humidity of the office. You think it is unbelievable that the job you always dreamed of could be so boring. It is amazing. A job sitting at a computer all day, and maintaining the official Olympic website, no less. You should be bubbling over with excitement, but that fan is the only ting to keep you sane.
The ding. You almost forget. Deftly you click the email icon. The inbox entry is entitled "Urgent." Isn't it always. You click the mouse to open the email. You stare in utter astonishment. The saliva in you mouth turns to sand. Your heart rate is like a drum in your chest. For the third time you read the email:
There will be no peace in our time. The Games will go out with a bang this year. Have a nice day.
