Chapter #5
Is it a date?

Excited by the fact that you finally managed to hit it off with another pony without making a complete fool of yourself, you gladly accept Cheerilee's invitation to meet here again later.
Judging from the length of the average school day, you have a good six hours to go about to your own intentions. Yielding to your curiosity, you decide to snoop on a young male pony with a yellow-brown coat. Something about his face just feels so enticing, half of you feels the need to really get to know him while the other half is an antisocial wreck who is way too shy to get near him. Pondering your next course of action, you lose yourself in thought and blatantly bump into the pony.
"Oh, hello there!" he said once he whipped around to see who you were.
Your heart rate as high as the sky, you can do little more than stare at him wide-eyed and petrified.
He cocked his head to one side and smiled. "Come on now, I'm usually the shy one around here!"
"W-well, hi. My name is Tango." you barely manage to stutter out.
"That's a cute name! People around here call me Caramel. I like to consider myself a local entrepreneur, although more often than not I end up working with the Apple family for a paycheck. You're new around here, right?"
"Yeah, I actually just arrived today. The folk here are a great deal more kind than from where I came from, I'll give you that." you tell him. "Things were a little rough back then, the main reason I came around here was to start my life over." A few nasty flashbacks from your previous life fill your consciousness, but you shoo them away as you don't want to get emotional around someone you just met.
"You poor thing!" Caramel projects with compassionate emotion expressed on his face. "It sure is a good thing you came here over other places, you have nothing to be scared of with all of the friendly ponies here. Your past is as good as gone now."
Reassured and smiling in joy, you cant help but to reach over and hug Caramel. You're very happy you met someone like him.
"So what were you doing before you ran into me? Would you maybe be interested in coming over to the Apples' place to spend time with me?"
