Erica watched as NC State's winning record was snapped. Albeit, the record was snapped by a tie, not by a loss. I addressed Tom diplomatically. "I guess the bet's over then, huh? Neither team won or lost."
"Sorry Erica," Tom replied. "I'm afraid you just lost."
I blinked in confusion. "What?"
"By the original terms of the bet, you would be correct, but you changed the terms when you challenged me. At halftime, it was whoever was ahead, but at the end of the game, you specifically stated that if NC State wins." He shrugged his shoulders. "They didn't, so you lose the bet." I stood there spluttering. "I'm feeling generous, though, so you don't have to cheer for me. You just have to strip down the rest of the way."
I looked at Cam and Alicia for support, but they both appeared to be siding with Tom. Damn it.
