As 14-year-old Tom and his younger brother Jake were arguing about the effects of the wand, Jake became impatient and pointed the wand straight at Tom, who had the large full-body mirror immediately behind him.

The bright, blue beam emitted from the diamond tip of the black foot-long wand, striking the mirror, before bouncing right back.

Now, Jake had aimed it just perfectly straight, so that the reflective beam came right back to the tip of the wand, where it had come from!

The moment the beam struck the wand in Jake's hand, the wand became so hot, that Jake was forced to drop it, letting it fall on Tom's bed.

"Yeow!" Jake cried, as he clinched his hand.

"My wand! What have you done to my wand?" Tom screamed.

Jake and Tom looked on at the wand on Tom's bed...
