Apple Bloom was a slightly larger than average filly. She was a far cry from being obese, but still a bigger filly overall. Her belly, flanks, legs, and neck were covered in a one inch think layer of fat. Apple Jack had already tried to help her loose the extra weight before, but Apple Bloom always seemed to gain it back after a few weeks.
It was the start of summer vacation, Apple Bloom was heading to the clubhouse to plan her vacation with Sweetie and Scootaloo, but Granny stopped her before she could get out the door. "Bloom, yer brother and sister are gonna need yer help today," Granny Smith said, "there are extra chores that need to be done around the farm before the summer heat kicks in". "But Granny, I'm supposed to meet up with Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle," Apple Bloom replied, "We have to come up with a plan to get out cutie marks before summer is over". Granny responded, "You can either help out here or go see yer friends. There will more work tomorrow if you go play with your friends today though".
