This choice: "I wish I was six inches taller!" • Go Back...Chapter #3The start of something BIG! by: citywalker "I wish I was six inches taller!"
At first nothing happened. David sat there, blankly, starting to grow embarrassed as the seconds ticked by.
"See, I told you it was a joke," Sam said. "C'mon, Paul, let's get out of here."
They started to leave, when the pendant suddenly shown bright. But this time, instead of the light radiating outward, it started to spread through David's body, starting at his chest, where the pendant was resting against his bare skin (he'd never bothered to put a shirt on after the shower).
At first, David felt frightened, but the spreading light warmed every part of his body, and filled him with pleasure. He sat down on his bed, closed his eyes, and felt his muscles starting to stretch, and his jeans, the only thing he was wearing besides the necklace, getting tighter. After about thirty seconds, the light gradually went away, and he opened his eyes back up.
"Well," he asked, "did it work?"
His answer was given by the stunned faces from both Sam and Paul. "Holy crap!" Sam exclaimed.
"Wow," Paul said, "David, you're as tall as your brother now!"
David stood up, and he could definitely feel a difference now. He was a good eight inches taller than Paul now, and almost a foot taller than Sam. He turned around and looked at the full-length mirror in his bedroom. He noticed that his jeans had started to rip, and the fly had popped open. Everything had grown in proportion, so his body still was skinny, but he definitely could feel that he weighed more. "Let me check something out," he said. He went into the bathroom and stepped on the scale, which read 172 pounds. The six inches had added almost 30 pounds to his body!
"This is freakin' awesome!" he exclaimed. "Wes will definitely take notice of this!" David snuck into his brother's room and searched for some clothes there. The only clean clothes he could find was a pair of slick, black basketball shorts and a white tank top. He slipped them on. They definitely fit, though they were just the slightest bit baggy. David may have matched his brother in height, but the years of working out and lifting weights had given his brother a much thicker, stronger frame. If Wes were to come home now, he could still outmuscle David.
David went back to his bedroom, where Sam and Paul were waiting for him. "David, this is amazing!" Sam said. "It's like you've gone through a year's growth spurt in less than a minute!"
"Yeah," David said, "but Wes is still a little bigger than me."
"He doesn't have to be," Paul said. "You've still got this!" He pointed at the pendant, which had also grown slightly with David, still fitting comfortably around his neck.
"Yeah, that's right!" David said. "I could be any size I want!"
"Well, what'll it be?" Paul asked him.
David thought about it for a moment. | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
