Tell her friends she is hearing their thoughts.

"Guys," Chelsy says to her friends, "Something weird is happening to me."
"Look at this cute top, Chels!" Her friend, Lori, shows her a stylish lavender frilly top and grins.
"Omigosh guys, you have to look at these jeans!" Another friend, Natalie, calls, "And it's on SALE!" All of the girls gather around Natalie and admire the pair of trendy-looking jeans.

"Did you guys not hear me?" Chelsy declared in disbelief. They weren't even paying attention to her.
Finally, Lori turned around. "What's your problem, Chelsy?" she snapped.
"My PROBLEM?" Chelsy reply hotly, "I tell you, I'm hearing VOICES, Lori! I hear a bunch of voices in my head!"
"You are seriously delusional." Lori concludes with a blank expression on her face.
"Marissa!" Chelsy grabs her other friend's attention.
"Yes Chels?" Marissa smiles as she scans the racks of clothes.
Chelsy sighs in relief that finally, someone is listening to her. "Rissa, I think I'm hearing voices in my head. LIKE, I hear your voice!"
Marissa laughs. "This isn't funny, Chelsy." She shakes her head, amused.
"I'm not trying to be," Chelsy insists, "Look, you have to believe--"
Marissa stops her mid-sentence. "Okay, what am I thinking right now then?" She challenges Chelsy.
Chelsy focuses on her inner thoughts and finds Marissa's voice in her mind. 'This is her idea of a joke?' she hears, 'Let's see if she can tell what I'm thinking, ha. Whatever.'
Chelsy stares at her friend.
"So?" Marissa raises her eyebrows.
