Seven beams of light touched down outside the tower where Yen Sid lived, fading away to reveal Sora, Donald, Goofy, Leon, Cloud, Aerith (http://finalfantasy.wikia.com/wiki/File:...) and Tifa. Leon, Cloud and Tifa had decided to help Sora after seeing how strong Exe was, while Aerith was there to help with healing, despite Cloud's protests. The group made their way inside, hoping that Yen Sid would be able to help them. Apon entering the tower, they were surprised to see Riku and Mickey waiting for them.
"Riku? What are you doing here?" Sora asked.
"Cut the act Sora, we both know what happened." Riku replied. Mickey nodded.
"That's right. You guys are gonna need all the help you can get." he told them. Sora and the others nodded, then they all headed up the stairs. At the top, they found Yen Sid already awaiting them.
"Greetings Sora. I've been expecting you." he told them.
"I assume you already know why we're here." Leon asked.
"Indeed, and I am truely sorry for what happened. Nevertheless, I can tell you what Exe plans to do. I've been watching him closely. He intends to reach Kingdom hearts itself. However, you must know that he poses a far greater threat than Organisatin XIII did." Yen Sid announced.
"Please, tell us!" exclaimed Sora. Yen Sid led them into his study and sat down.
"Very well, let us start with what you do know." he told them. "As you are aware, if one is able to collect enough hearts, then he would be able to create an artificial Kingdom Hearts of slightly lesser power. However, if Exe is able to obtain the Kingdom Stone, then he would be able to open a gateway to Kingdom Hearts itself." he announced.
"I've never heard of this Kingdom Stone before." Mickey told them.
"Few have, I am one of those few. The Kingdom Stone is an object made from equal amounts of light and darkness. Long ago, it was split into four fragments, which were then sent to four different worlds. If Exe manages to find all four fragments, he would only need a single pure heart filled with light to open the gate." Yen Sid replied.
"So that's why he needed Kairi's heart. But, what does he want?" Riku wondered.
"That, I cannot answer. But, he must not succeed in his venture, for it will be far worse than if anyone else did." said Yen Sid.
"Why?" they all asked.
"Because, unlike all other Nobodies, Exe has two sides, light and darkness, which are of equal strength. Because of this, if he manages to reach Kingdom Hearts, the ultimate Keyblade would be forged." he announced.
"Ultimate...Keyblade?" they asked. Yen Sid nodded, then held his arm out, a transparent pillar of magic appeared, inside of it floated the image of a powerful looking Keyblade (http://fc06.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2011/1...). The group gasped at the sight.
"The χ-blade, a weapon that exists alongside Kingdom Hearts, not to join it like other Keyblades." Yen Sid told them. "Whoever wields the χ-blade, will be able to unlock Kingdom Hearts. Exe must not be allowed to achieve this."
"Don't worry, we're on it. So, where are these fragments?" Sora asked. Yen Sid looked down, as the image disappeared.
"Sadly, I only know of one. It is located somewhere in Twilight Town, but I do not know of its exact location." he told them. Sora grinned.
"Well, at least we know where to start. Let's go, guys." he announced, the others agreed, then they all left for Twilight Town.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
