Chapter #4He does something else by: Something As he looked at the speck on the ground, Will decided that he didn't want to just leave it there. But, he also didn't want to kill the tiny creature. There wasn't really any reason for him to do that. So, he decided to find something to pick it up with. Since he had to leave the room in order to find something, he considered the possibility that he'd lose the tiny bug when he got back, but he left, anyway.
Josh watched as Will's insanely gigantic form moved away from his location. Josh tried to call him back. He tried to chase after him, but it was futile. Soon, Will disappeared and the tremors generated by his footsteps faded. Josh desperately hoped that Will would come back and help him. Even if Will thought he was a bug, maybe he would at least pick him up or something. Of course, Will might also just step on him if he saw him again. Josh wasn't sure what Will did to bugs in his house, so either of those things could happen. But right now, it seemed like Will didn't want to help or get rid of him. His existence was completely unimportant to Will, and he just left him to struggle for sure on his floor.
Then, Josh saw Will return, and a slight amount of hope returned.
Above, Will was able to detect Josh's tiny form scurrying around and placed a piece of paper in front of him. Josh thought that Will might be trying to pick him up with that, but he was still a little nervous, so he tentatively climbed on. Will then placed a small plastic cup over the "bug's" location. From, Josh's perspective, it was like an immense, transparent dome covered the entire sky. Then, he felt the ground shake as the plain he was on rose into the air.
Will brought the paper up to his face and examined the creature on it for a minute. Josh looked up at Will, who still clearly didn't recognize him as a person. That didn't mean he wouldn't be put in a safer place, but it would have been much more preferable for him to not be seen as a bug. And now, he wondered exactly what Will planned on doing to him. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
