You groan as the world slowly begins to come into focus. Bright light shines through the branches of the tree overhead. Birds songs sing nearby and while beautiful do more to accent the headache you're currently sporting. Raising a hand to shade your eyes against the light, you gasp and discover it's not a normal hand but covered in black fur to the middle of your forearm and each finger is tipped with small claws. Crossing your eyes some reveals a discovery of a red furred snout and black tipped nose. Somhow you know this is wrong and yet you can't seem to recall what is 'right'.
Sitting up causes your headache to throb a bit harder but you are determined to examine your body and make a valiant attempt to ignore it. Looking your form over you discover you're in the shape of a red fox, judging by your paws, fluffy tail and colorings, but one that apparently can walk upright judging by your hands and the shape of you legs. Again the thought crossed your mind that this isn't normal, but with the headache it's hard to recall anything except your name. Everything else is a blur of colors and noises with no real structure or coherence.
Taking a few deep breaths you try to get your bearings. Now that your eyes have adjusted and your head has stopped spinning, you can see you appear to be in the center of a large park of some kind as tall buildings stretch upwards all around the edges. Grassy rolling hills stretch around you sparsely dotted with decently large trees. More interesting though is the park and city seem to be populated by other creatures in much the same state as you, all of them animals and yet all walking upright. Here and there you spot creatures that look like they stepped out of a cartoon or childrens' picture book as wolves, rabbits, tigers, zebras, and many more species walk down the paths, play games, or just laze about in the sun. What's more, not one you can see looks at all thin, oddly enough. Every single one runs the gambit of slightly chubby, like they'd had a few too many big meals lately, to something seen more often in a sideshow at the circus or a world record book. The largest of which actually need special platforms to get around as they float on what look like hover pads along the trails
Taking another deep breath you try and relax and decide what to do. Clearly action needs to be taken of some kind, you can't just sit there all day, but as you're trying to figure out what to do another pressing problem comes to mind....
