Kim had been sent to an old lab belonging to some scientist that had gone missing a few weeks ago. Ron was sick so she had to go on he own. Wade apparently knew the scientist and after he failed to respond to any attempts to reach him he sent in Kim. The Lab was located in the basement of a warehouse something that failed to set off an alarms for anyone. It was very sparse.
A few tables littered with electronics, a few test test tube and various other containers with brightly colored liquids inside. A fine coat of dust lay on top of everything. All the containers looked properly secured though, like someone had gone out of there way to make sure nothing would happen to them. Kim walked around to one of the tables with electronics.
"Hey wade" She said into the little device that allowed her to communicate "Hey are you even there?" The communicator just gave off static. "I hate basements" She said to herself looking at the miscellaneous things strewn about the table. She picked up a grey cube that had wiring haphazardly torn out of it. She was about to comment on its uselessness when a trapdoor opened underneath her.
She fell for a few seconds before landing on a surprisingly comfortable mattress. She had landed in a much more respectable lab set up. More tables of what appeared to be robotics but much more organized. And another set of flasks and beakers with colorful mixtures inside.
"Much more scientist-like" She commented as she began looking around the new area. She stopped next to the robotics table. There was a half built robot on it surrounded by more parts. It was humanoid in shape but larger. It only had an upperbody and head. One of it's arm was bent at an awkward angle.
"Dr. Stevens" She called out turning away from the half robot " are you here?" She got no response. She walked towards the table with the mixtures and noticed a sticky note that read " Concoctions unstable do not touch". Then another saying "More in fridge". Kim was about to comment on the lack of need for these notes when the half a robot from earlier turned on.
It's torso lurched forward closing some of the distance and It's arm swung out hitting Kim in the back. How ever that's all it could do. That's the major flaw in having half a guard robot. But the force of the arm slammed Kim into one of the beakers shattering it and getting it over her skin. It was cool and none of the glass cut her. She spun around and kicked the robot off the table. She realized it was going to cause no further trouble and began to head back over the trap door so she could leave, intending to call Wade as soon as she was out to let him know she had found no trace of the missing scientist. She did not realize the contents of the glass had mutagenic properties and were began to change her.
