Jaden was going around his daily activities at duel academy, which was mainly dueling. He was in the Obelisk Blue dorm, only having accepted the upgrade because that was were all his friends lived now. Most of his close friends knew about the spirit of the Supreme King that was a shadowy side of him, but no longer insane. However, only Syrus knew about the second presence inside him. It was a presence that had been a cause of grief for most of their third year, but was finally calming down, and feeling regret for the pain she had caused. Deep within his soul Yubel rested, occasionally waking to watch and think.
Yubel had been fused with Jaden’s spirit while he was dueling her to get his friends back from the stars. She had only been trying to protect him, in a twisted misguided way. Now her mind was much less twisted, and she knew that protecting someone shouldn’t hurt them while they were being protected. She was able to speak to Jaden’s mind, and would occasionally warn him against a reckless action. He however could not speak back to her, so she often found herself only watching him duel. She also had a different wish for Jaden that she kept concealed. Instead of wanting to protect him, she wanted him to return the love she had for him. She wanted to be Jaden’s girlfriend. Unfortunately, she needed a physical body to do that, and only the De-fusion card could give her that.
Luckily for her, Jaden’s dueling style had radically changed since fusing with Yubel. He now used a mix of Elemental Heroes and Evil Hero’s. Yubel happily took note that Jaden also used the cards that represented her three battle forms. He did have a De-fusion card in his deck, but he had never had a reason to play it. But during today’s afternoon duel he finally had cause to use De-fusion. His opponent had just fusion summoned Five Headed Dragon. Jaden stopped the card’s attack with Negate Attack, and the next turn he played De-Fusion. As soon as he played the card Yubel was able to manifest her real body inside Jaden’s dorm room. Jaden was too focused on his duel to notice her presence leave his mind.
When Yubel fully materialized her body she noticed that she had drastically changed in appearance. Her hair was no longer spiky; instead it flowed down her head like a purple waterfall. She also found that her wings were retractable, and immediately drew them into herself. She had lost her demonic eye and her unnatural height, but remained at 5’ 7”. She had kept her bichromatic eyes and some of her demonic strength. Her hands and feet were no longer clawed and she had cream-colored skin. Yubel found all of these changes to her liking and thought to herself about how surprised Jaden would be when he returned to his dorm.
