After what Alex just went through, he wanted to be as far away from people as he could right now.
He figured the hole would be the easiest path to travel. He would jog towards it, stopping in front of it as he'd look at the edges of the hole.
"Hmm, looks gnawed out, most definitely the work of rats." He'd say to himself "I really hope they're on vacation right now."
He would look over his shoulder at Emily as he'd hear a wet, sloppy torrent of shits hit the bowl beneath her. He'd sigh in relief. "So long, Emily. Not gonna miss ya." He'd say with a slight laugh as he'd step into the hole, luckily there were enough damage in the wall to at least let a few rays of light shine into the tunnel, making it significantly easier for Alex to traverse through it.
The tunnel was like a maze, he's only been in there for a few minutes, and he's already unsure about his position and direction, he'd come to a dead-end, looking in every direction until he'd notice an even smaller tunnel above, possibly wide enough to squeeze through as he'd jump to grab onto the edge of the hole, managing to grab onto a piece of wood as he'd heave himself upward, continuing his journey through the significantly tighter tunnel.
It would continue for a good hour, before he'd reach the end of the tiny tunnel. Although he just found himself back into the original-sized tunnel. He'd sigh and swear, before shrugging as he'd continue forward, he'd soon find himself upon a crossroad, the tunnel split in two more directions, one which went downwards, one which went upwards and then the original one which continued forward.
