As as you slithered down the hallway as silently as you could, you thought up ways you could reveal to her that you were a massive cobra now. “Maybe I could, knock first, then..no, I don’t have arms anymore. How could I knock?” You’d think to yourself. “I’ll ball up the end of my tail all and knock that way instead.”
You’d reach Ashley’s door. You’d sit outside her door thinking. You were so nervous. This could either go decently or it could go really bad. “Ashley makes a lot of jokes, but there is no way she will think this is funny when she sees me like this.” You’d finish up the strategy in your head for how to break it to Ashley. “So I’ll knock with my tail, I’ll tell her sincerely that I have a problem, have her promise to me that she won’t scream, and that we won’t tell anybody about this until we have both figure out how to explain this to the others.” You’d then suddenly whisper loudly to yourself . “Yes, yes that’s it!” I’d ball up the end of my tail and raise it to the door.
“Well, here goes nothing.” I’d mutter under my breath. I’d knock on the door as casually but also as quietly as you could, so as to not wake the others. “Ashley…Ashley, are you awake?” You’d hear the rustling of cloth from within the room. “Yes, my dearest brother?” Ashley said in her usual playful way. “There is something we need to talk about.” I’d say sincerely. “I’m not joking about this either.” You’d say. Ashley would then reply in a serious tone, “Let’s discuss this in here.” More rustling of the covers would be heard, as well as the sound of footsteps coming closer to the door. “Wait, don’t open the door yet!” It was too late.
