"We're the X Factor, a team of mutants working with the government in contrast to all these vigilante groups that keep appearing" Quicksilver gave you a quick overview of what the new team of X factor you were offered to be a part of wanted to achieve.
"And how do you know about me?"
"Ha, everyone knows about you kid. We're just trying to poach you first before other groups come calling, and now that you showed to have teleporting powers you could do for us what Lockjaw used to help me with"
"Lockjaw?"
"He's.. a bit of a free spirit. Let's leave it at that. So, what do you say?" You weren't sure what to think of it. It surprised and scared you a bit that as Pietro said you had people watching you, and the attitude of the guy was rubbing you a bit in the wrong way, but if they worked for the government you figured out maybe they were part of the good guys, right? or at the very least they could take care of you and you could meet other mutants like yourself without the risk of being manipulated.
"Can I ask more questions?" Like any ordinary civillian you knew very little about this so just wanted to gather as much information as you could before making any reckless decision anyway
"Sure, sure, just make it quick" Pietro said a bit annoyed at you in part. From his face you felt like he thought you should be jumping with excitement at the prospect of joining him and his unknown team
You asked more information about who the team was worked for (The Pentagon, which seemed quite fancy) the living arrangements (which he just told you that were what you would expect considering you work with the pentagon) and the other members in the team and their powers.
"Wait, you have super speed? Why do you need me then?" You got curious about that in particular
"I have a little problem with that right now, but that's not a good question kid. They're clearly different powers. Plus there's something about you"
"About me?"
"You are not the first teleporter out there and won't be the last, but I believe only a live demonstration will do. Tell you what, we'll meet at the other side of the city, next to that huge finance building, ready?"
"What?" The next thing you knew you were alone.. you used your powers and visualized the place, teleporting to an alley where nobody saw you. 2 seconds later you saw this Pietro guy appearing in a flash from seemingly nowhere
"Hmph, he's still too slow"
"I'm not!" you showed yourself up to him
"Did you know about this place?"
"Nope"
"And you just saw it in your head or what?"
"Hmm yes, I just went to that alley to not surprise anyone" you pointed at the spot you teleported to
"And has this sense of direction guided you wrong" You noted Pietro looked a bit tired for some reason, maybe his super speed was quite taxing on him? or maybe it was that condition he was talking about
"Not so far"
"I see.. that's enough to confirm we need you then.. what do you say" You thought about whether to join him and his group or to wait to see what other offers you received
