Jack remembers he has a gun and tries shooting it

Jack suddenly remembered he still had his handgun. He grabbed it and took aim at the zombies head. He closed his eyes and squeezed the trigger. A deafening bang rang out, followed by the sound of a body hitting the pavement. Jack opened his eyes to find the zombie was laying at his feet, a large bullet hole piercing its head. He breathed a sigh of relief. "That was too close." Jack said to himself "One thing is certain, these things aren't human.".

Jack then turned around and took a good look at his surroundings. The whole city looked like a ghost town. There were wrecked or abandoned vehicles all over the road. Numerous mangled corpses were scattered everywhere. Several buildings were severely damaged. "This is worse than I thought." Jack thought to himself. Jack then spotted a gun store just across the street. He also saw the hotel's parking garage a few feet away. Jack knew he needed to get to his car and get out of the city, but he was considering going to the nearby gun store and salvaging whatever was left in the store, in case he needed it. After several minutes of thinking, he decided to,
