This choice: You decide that today you would go exploring, just for a little bit. • Go Back...Chapter #9Searching for a speck by: Froakie With a gentle leap, you hopped off of the disc. You would be quick. There and back again before your mother even noticed. When she'd return, you'd just have a bit more food than normal, that's all. And you'd have finally done something for a change. Yeah, no big deal at all.
Rushing towards the blob of food, you realized that you underestimated two things, one being how far away this little speck was, two being how fast you could move at your tiny size. Your mother did have you do exercise so you wouldn't get fat, but it was all very supervised. She had taken one of her old shoes and torn it apart, reconstructing it into a tiny obstacle course. You could still smell the rank odor of her feet though, even though it had been a long time since she had ever used it as a shoe.
Finally, after some time, you reached the blob of food. Reaching your hands forward, you grasped down onto the giant boulder sized crumblet and tore into it. It was a little bit dry, but a lot tastier than your usual nutrients that you had eaten in the past. You rubbed your stomach, feeling as if a piece of your humanity had been restored.
BOOM!!!
BOOM!!!
BOOOM!!!!
You held onto the crumb, the waves from a giant's footsteps pounding the table around you. The crumb, once a source of comfort, now was a horrifying obstacle as it rolled to the side taking you with it and towards your mom's plate!! You screamed, seeing that you had moved further and further away from your disc.
The booming got louder and louder as you watched the supersized giant come into the kitchen.
"DANIEL?!?" The voice echoed, tearing through the waves of the air as you saw your mother look down on the disc, a bit confused. Reaching down, she grasped her two fingers on the sides of the disc, lifting it up and towards her face.
"DANIEL, DID YOU MOVE OFF OF THE DISC?!" Your mom asked, looking at it, a bit worried now. Carefully, she went to put the disc back on the table. . then stopped, bringing it back up to her face again, looking it over carefully. Perhaps you had gotten stuck on it or something.
Meanwhile, the crumblet had pushed you up and on top of the plate of breakfast food that your mother had prepared for herself. The crumblet whisked upward and off of the plate, dropping you onto a platter of eggs. The eggs were warm, but not too hot. The tops of the eggs had cheese melted on the top. Your legs started to falter, slowly, as you gently felt yourself drifting down into the cheesy domain. Moving your arms frivolously, you attempted to claw your way out of the embrace.
Above in the land of giants, your mother was searching very carefully all around the disc. She hadn't even checked any other locations yet. She also started to check her body, looking for signs of specks. Perhaps he had fallen on her and was trapped somewhere there. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
