At first, Tim had approached Jim because he felt that he could only go for people larger than him. He didn't expect much really, but it turned out Jim was a perfect match for him. They both enjoyed gaming, fantasy books and good food. The only major difference was that while Tim was trying to control himself and lose weight, Jim could hardly care less. He ate what he wanted when he wanted and didn't bother with such things as health and looks. Life is to short for salad he tended to say. Tim's diets was always hard on their relationship. Jim tried to be supportive and help Tim by eating healthy when they ate together, and even doing some exercise with him. But at 400 lbs their walks didn't really help that much since Jim was tired way before Tim. Their relationship had survived all Tim's diets, although sometimes barley. The longer a diet lasted, the less they saw each other, because there was only that much salad and exercise Jim could take.
The news that Tim was giving up made him smile wide, knowing that finally he would never have to eat another salad in his life.
"Wow, Tim, that's awesome. I've told you for years there's no point in obeying the health nuts" Jim said.
"I guess I was never meant to be healthy." Tim says.
"And so what? There's nothing wrong with being fat" Jim says and slaps his huge belly, resting in his lap there he sat next to Tim on a park bench. It was a warm and sunny day so the two large 18 year old boys had gone to the park and gotten ice cream. Some peopled stared at Jim, seeing people so fat so young was not common and most of the lookers had looks of concern or shock. But the majority didn't seem to notice.
