Rouge looked at all the party-goers dancing and they were all having a good time. Hell, even Cream was dancing with Tails! Even though she was being flirty, Rouge genuinely wanted to spend time with you, so she decided to pull you into a dance.
As you two were moving to the music, you asked Rouge, "Why did you want to dance with me?"
She smiled and said "I just wanted to get close to you."
Just then, a slow song started playing. Rouge was hoping for this to happen. As the music played, she wrapped your arms around you and moved with you. She started speaking to you, but soft enough so that no one else could hear.
"You know, [your name], there's a reason why I act the way that I act." she said.
"And what reason would that be?" you say sarcastically.
"I'm being serious," she replies with a smile. "I don't mean to flirt with you all the time, it's just a facade that I put up so that you stay unaware about how I truly felt about you. I've been dropping little hints and hoping that you'd figure it out without me having to tell you."
You weren't quite sure where she was going with this, so you say "With out having to tell me what?"
