While the wolves were conversing in their natural tongue, pandemonium had sparked below on the planet Earth. Even before their scouting party had breached the planet's atmosphere, satellites drifting in space had caught glimpses of an inherently alien fleet of… well, spaceships. Only a few minutes later had confirmation spread through NASA about a sizeable object entering Earth's atmosphere, and soon after the military had been alerted.
Then everyone knew the truth; aliens existed, and they had visited Earth less than a few minutes ago.
The wolf ambassador was blissfully unaware of the panic far below, thankfully, as their ship lowered through the clouds towards inhabited land far below. It briefly ran through his mind that the ship's engines could possibly damage the infrastructure of buildings, and immediately he barked the order to his pilot to halt.
"Halt? You just want to hover up here?" The pilot inquired doubtfully, slapping at a few buttons in quick succession. The ship began to slow its descent in response, without entirely stopping in place. "Don't you want to get down there, ambassador?"
"I would rather not risk sparking an early war between our different kinds," the ambassador responded quickly, slumping back in his seat whilst nervously rubbing his paws together. "Can we send out a message using our intercoms?"
"That could be a bad idea," the pilot chided, as the ship slowed to a complete halt. "If we lay out our demands like this, we could be seen as intruders. Maybe we should just… wait for the aliens down there to respond."
