Henry carried the calico cat just underneath it's front legs, with it's stomach facing forward. The cat was barely more than a kitten, and they had it since it was a little baby. The cat took no time before he started work cleaning the kitchen.
"Hurry up, Boomer!" Henry whispered, so as to not call attention to the kitchen.
It seemed to the boys like forever, but the feline soon had the milk all lapped up.
Henry took the cat back to where he was sleeping before the incident while Jake put the empty milk carton in the recycling bin.
The next morning, Cory filled the cat's food dish. He watched as the cat walked in, but was so surprised with the cat's size that he immediately ran out of the room and to his mother, who had not yet gone to work.
"Mom, what happened to the cat?" Cory asked.
"What do you mean?" Sandra asked.
"I'll show you."
Cory lead his mom into the kitchen and showed her the cat.
The cat had previously been quite average, but now Boomer was almost two feet tall to the shoulders, his legs were as thick as Cory's middle finger was long, and he was about three feet long. Boomer's tail was even more impressive, at around two feet long. It wasn't just the size that changed. The cat only grew larger to accommodate for the extreme new muscles he was sporting.
"Boys! Come here!" Sandra called through the house.
Jake and Henry ran to their mother to see what she wanted. Jake arrived just a few seconds before his younger brother, since his legs were longer. Both boys stared at the cat for the few seconds before their mother addressed them.
"Jake, Henry," she asked, "Do you know anything about this?"
"Maybe he had too much milk," Henry suggested before he remembered that his brother's milk mistake was a secret. Jake glared at Henry.
"What milk?" Sandra asked her boys.
"The milk that Jake spilled," Henry said honestly.
"You spilled my milk?!" Sandra asked, her focus now turned to Jack.
"It was an accident! I promise!" Jake told his mom quickly.
