Deciding that it is best to confront this "problem" head-on, you leap from the tree branch you had been perching on. After all, the human had been proving himself annoyingly persistent in his pursuit of you. As the magics you were able to perceive surrounding the normally vulnerable human form attested, this was no amateur magician. A small stream of fire leapt from your open mouth as you screamed down towards the man waving his hands about and muttering words wings spread wide. Despite your size, you were quite a sight appearing with claws and teeth amid smoke and flames, the dreadful sound erupting from your throat and the man lost grip of his spell, the magical energies losing cohesion and drifting off into the greater nether. The whole problem might have just gone away right then and there, but as you had guessed, the man had prepared several potent wards about his person. Just as it seemed your fire was about to come into contact with the man's body, it was bifurcated as if by a sudden wind and passed harmlessly to either side of the man. You didn't come into direct contact with the wizard, but you guessed that your teeth and claws would likely be ineffectual as well.
Landing in front of the startled human, you hiss and mantle your wings carefully, a smug look on your face. You are ready to flee in an instant, but you need to find out why this man is hounding you so. The man raises his hands as if to begin an incantation, but you speak, "Human. You have chased me from my home and across two countries. I'll know why you persist in chasing me so."
The wizard lowered his hands and made a universal sign of parley with his right hand. Your wings relaxed and your lips lowered over your rows of curved fangs. The human, despite his ridiculously colorful garb, spoke in a deep and pride-filled voice...
