Jason didn't make any specific demands, assuming this was all for nothing. "I wish for more power and control over life." He clicked enter and waited at his computer.
Thinking it was a prank, he felt no one could blame him or make fun of him for such an abstract wish. Then, another thought entered his head. What if this were true? How could that wish possibly be interpreted? He sat there waiting for a reply, but after a few good minutes he gave up and went to bed.
During the night he tossed and turned in his sleep. For some odd reason he couldn't sleep comfortably. Upon waking up, Jason felt his head being completely strained. He was currently suffering one of the worst headaches in his life, but due to his habits he checked his computer first. Firstly, he checked various websites to research a headache cure. After his browsing he checked his email and noticed a reply. Clicking open the email from 'Gene' he read the message:
"Your wish has been granted. Your thoughts will be brought into reality. What you desire most will come to life. To make sure you don't go insane, only the deepest fantasies will come true. Don't worry about having to control it. It will be automatic! Enjoy!"
Jason started to shiver and shake in his chair. "What the hell does that mean?!" Jason didn't want to think about it too much. His head was already pulsing. He went into his bathroom searching for aspirins to no avail. "Of course when I need something, it isn't there." He walked out to the kitchen and stopped immediately when he noticed something. On the table was a bottle of aspirins and a tall glass of ice water. "Dad?? Is this yours?" Jason yelled out, but remembered his dad left for work already. Wanting more to fix his headache than explain it he downed two pills and drank the water. Almost instantly his head felt much better. He felt almost better than he did normally, however now he realized how hungry he was.
Jason searched through the fridge and found it empty. "Dammit, no groceries." When he turned around another thing in the room had altered. Now on the table was a fully cooked breakfast of eggs, bacon, pancakes and hash browns. "....no way." Ever since his mother divorced his father, Jason has never had a fully cooked breakfast. He remembered the exact way his mother would make it. Jason sat down and tasted the food. It made his mouth fire up with sensations. The entire meal tasted as if it were made by a professional chef. When he got thirsty, a glass of orange juiced appeared from the corner of the table when he had looked away.
"Okay....this isn't so bad." Jason said to himself.
As he continued his meal the front door had opened. Someone was coming in, but who?
