"How... How can I be a girl!?!" you asked, freaking out. ""I was a boy when I was pulled through my dad's crazy invention and out through yours!"
"Don't panic." said Natasha, calmly. "I'm sure there is a rational explanation." she paused. "Did you say that your dad had built a device like our own?"
"My... My dad did." you replied, still freaked out. you then quickly explained the events that led to you being pulled through into another world, finishing by saying, "I started feeling weird weird after breathing in all of this dust, hard not to."
Natasha looked around, thinking. "Perhaps it was this dust that changed you." she suggested. "I'll get a few samples and have my husband, Max, study it, maybe he can find a way to reverse the effects... err."
"Eric." you said. "Eric Summers. What do I do in the mean time?"
"Well, I don't suggest you return until we can at least patch you up, Eric." replied Natasha. "For now, all I can do is open my home to you until we can safely return you home." she smiled. "Would you like to meet the rest of the family?"
"I guess that's okay." you said. "Just don't treat me all girly, okay?"
Natasha giggled. "We'll try." she said. "Though you do look cute."
You blushed at that then followed her out of the glass chamber, into a laboratory that looked very much like your dad's back in your own world. Max, a massive man, who was sitting at the controls, rose from his seat, surprised to see a young girl who looked much like a female version of his son.
"Good Lord!" he breathed, looking at you. "Now I know what Eric would look like as a girl!"
You blushed more brightly before Natasha placed a gentle hand onto your shoulder. "Easy, Max." she said, seriously. "The chamber is flooded with a strange type of dust. Our guest, Eric, was a boy before he became into contact with it."
Max expression changed to that of curiosity and excitement. "Really!?" he asked. "I'll get a sample."
With that, he was off like a shot to gather samples from the chamber. After Natasha got out of the bio-hazard suit, she led you up the stairs to the main floor of her house where she led you to the living room.
"Being a girl is not so bad." she told you. "I'm sure my daughter, Tonya would love to help you adjust." she then looked at you serious. "I'm afraid we can't be calling you Eric here as we already have a boy here with that name and, well, you don't look like an Eric anymore."
"A new name?" you asked, trying to hide your frustration. "What do you suggest?"
Natasha thought for a moment. "How do you like... Sarah?"
"Sarah Teddie Summers." you mused, using your real middle name. "Okay, that sounds fine, for now."
Natasha smiled. "Welcome to our home, Sarah." she said. "What do you say we get you some more appropriate clothing before I help you freshen up a bit?"
A small grin touched the corners of your mouth. "Sure."
