Take the ring to Mordor but send an elite squad...

You speak, "Yes the ring must be case into the fires of mount doom but we need a fellowship that can fight the 9 openly. We need power that will make Mordor tremble. None doubt your friendship or bravery Hobbits but you are a liability in battle."

You ignore their dejected looks and continue on, "I will go in place of Sam. Glorfindel will go in place of Merry. Erestor is also numbered among the wise and he too shall come. We will have wisdom and power to openly defy the minions of the Dark One."

The council is moved by your words and Elrond says, "Wise words you speak, the Hobbits are loyal but Glorfindel is an elf Lord of the 1st age and his presence will strike fear in our foes hearts. Erestor is wise, I will miss his counsel while he travels with you. He is of the Noldor and not unskilled in the arts of the blade. I charge Gandalf to be the leader of the Fellowship.
