Freak of nature

A basketball sized green pod protruded from a clearing of dirt around the trees. The bodies of some of its roots poked out of the ground like they were sea serpants and the leaves that stuck out of the base of the pod were half the size of it. This thing definitely didnt fit its surroundings.

"Look at that thing man. Its gross looking."

"Have you seen anything like that before?"

"No. That looks like something youd find deep in jungles on the ends of earth."

Dave approaches the strange plant, ignoring Nathans objections. He picks up a stick and lightly pokes it, causing it to instantly react and pop open, releasing a small cloud of gas that is breathed in by him and Nathan.

"ACK!! Oh fuck! We just got poisoned! Dave you motherf...uugghhh...."

Dave and Nathan find themselves losing consciousness and eventually pass out.
