After slicing Mica half way between her front legs and rear legs, she begins to whine as both parts fall on the flat parts where her body was connected. You pick her rear half up and scratch her sweet spot, which calms her down.

"Hey girl, it's OK," you tell her.

"So, what are we going to do with her two halves? I can think of a couple ideas. You could..."
