You carefully aim the rapier at her forehead and push it through. When it comes out he other side, there's a tiny glowing ball on the end of it. You pull the rapier out and grab the strange sphere off the end of it. "Whoa, what is that?" Jessica asks. "I don't know..." you reply, squeezing the ball as you do so. As you tighten your grip on the glowing orb however, three things happen simultaneously. First the ball vanishes, apparently being absorbed into your bear hand. As soon as it does so your hand goes completely numb. What's more disturbing however, is that Jessica has completely collapsed. What's more, your hand seems to have taken on a life of it's own.
Glancing at Jessica's unconscious body you begin to realize what happened. You take the rapier and stab the hand that absorbed the ball. Once again the mysterious orb appear on the end of the blade. Taking it carefully, you press it on to Jessica's forehead and it vanishes again. Suddenly you regain control of your hand, just as Jessica's eyes snap back open.
"What just happened?" Jessica asks. "My vision went all weird, and all I could do was move my hand." "That wasn't your hand. It was mine. I think that sphere is your consciousnesses. When it got absorbed into my hand, my hand went numb and started moving of it's own volition, just as your body collapsed." Acting on impulse, you stab her head again, and draw her consciousness out again. "Y'know, this could be pretty handy," you say. You and Jessica both grin. You stare at the little glowing ball. To think, this little orb contains Jessica's entire personality, everything that makes her, her. What do you do with it?
