Skelly the Skeleton - Was once a great fighter, until the day he tried to kill a Necromancer, in order to avenge their tribe. The Necromancer managed to curse him with their dying breath, a curse that stripped the fighter of his flesh and organs, although not his morality. The curse keeps him alive, but prevents him for enjoying "Life's Simple Pleasures" of food, drink, sleep, the scent of flowers and, rather annoyingly, sex. On the plus side, he can't feel heat, cold, pain, get poisoned, drown, breath in noxious gasses and has no problems putting himself back together when disassembled, for one reason or another. As a result of his curse, Skelly had spent over a hundred years wandering the countryside, even forgetting his real name due to how long it had been since someone had used it. One day, he found himself in Big Fat Pig City, when he ended up foiling an unlicensed theft, among other things, which brought him to the attention of Rutabaga, who was in his wolf form at the time, and had been chasing the unlicensed thief. Impressed at how the skeleton had handled himself, Rutabaga gave the person a job, especially since the attacks the thief tried to use on him, like the good old Stab-The-Kidneys Trick, failed to do more than just stab air. As such, Skelly serves as a Combat Instructor, especially since the traditional Wooden Dummy used for teaching new recruits isn't capable of attacking them, thus forcing them to fight something that isn't easily predictable. He also happens the be one of the first people sent in to see how bad a riot is going - things are usually safe if he doesn't have to search for something, like his head. Also, it is useful to have a skeleton around during those rare times that Rutabaga wants a bone to chew on.
Slim the Zombie - Something of a revolutionary-wannabe, who was always chanting the "For The People" slogan, until a bunch of arrows ended up in his chest, killing him. However, despite this set back, his revolutionary spirit was too strong for him to stay dead, and he became a political advocate for Undead Rights, although this amounted to painting graffiti on walls and such, even forming a group, who met mainly to keep Slim out of serious trouble. After a situation where an Undead person's rights were, supposedly, violated, Slim was hired to act as a mediator - ironically enough, the complaints actually increased, against Slim, who claims it was because the Undead don't understand policing, when in actuality Slim had been trying to recruit more people into his group with rather annoying pamphlets that he always stuffs inside someone's coffin. Overall though, he is a good guard, although he hates it when he gets used as Arrow Fodder, especially when it's in a spot where it shows!
