Wesley was finally ready for the first trial of his new holodeck modifications. He had gotten the initial idea from the incident with the Sherlock Holmes character, Moriarty that Geordi and Data had accidentally created. That, combined with Commander Riker's experience with the close to real-life simulation of Minuet created by the Binars, had made him wonder about improving the Artificial Intelligence (AI) of holodeck simulations. Since Ensign Robin Lefler had given him a cold shoulder lately, he could not do what he wanted on getting her help in rewriting the AI, and also using transporter technology to modify the user to match needs of the simulation.
Imagine being able to experience being, not only on other worlds, but in the form of the beings that lived on that world! To live as a Klingon or a Vulcan for instance. Do that, with a more intelligent, and therefore more realistic holodeck characters, and the potential would be unlimited!
So he decided to get Robin's help in another way. It took a long time of covertly scanning Robin's brain patterns, but he got it. After a while, he was able to figure out how to analyze the different parts of her brain and thought processes, knowledge and feelings. He was now ready to create a Robin Lefler character using her own brain patterns. If it was successful, he would have a simulation who thought and acted just like the real thing. And just to make it more interesting, he programmed her to be deeply in love with him. He also added a deep sexual desire to make things interesting when the took a 'break'.
He paused. What he was doing was not ethical, and possibly illegal, though no current law covered this. It was for science though, right? He took a deep breath, "Computer. Execute program Crusher Gamma Lima 23."
In moments, Wesley saw Robin materialize in front of him. She looked around, then down at herself. To Wesley's shock, she felt her body, including her breasts! Then she looked up at him and said, "So, I am the simulation? Why did you do this to me Wesley?"
He stared at her, "You know you are a simulation? That was not supposed to happen!" When she stared at him with her arms crossed, he replied, "Because I need your help on a project." Then, to play on her programming, if it still applied, "And because I love you Robin."
She walked up to him and smiled, "You shouldn't have done this Wesley. You had no right." All the same, she wrapped her arms around him, "But since you did, we might as well enjoy it." She kissed him deeply, then led him to her bedroom! Wesley had the best time of his life that night! Wesley was sorry to discontinue the program in the morning.
As soon as he was off-shift again, he returned to the holodeck and brought Robin back. He smiled at her naked form, "Would you like to have some fun again, then get to work?"
In bed afterwards, Robin said, "You know Wesley, if we get a full brain scan of you, you could program me with your information, and if you kept the simulation running, I could work on the problem when you are gone." To a young man in a sexual stupor, it sounded reasonable, but he would regret it later.
After weeks of work, they had the ability of taking a non-holodeck object, and using it to make a holodeck object 'real' so that it could be taken off of the holodeck. A couple of weeks later, Robin said to Wesley, "I made a huge breakthrough that I want to show you." She smiled as she said, "But first, let's get more comfortable." Wesley watched her undress. This was odd behavior for her. She was not normally so free to be naked, at least not without some foreplay. As she undressed she asked Wesley, "Do you you really love me Wesley?"
He grinned, "Of course I do Robin. How could you doubt that?"
She smiled at she was almost completely naked now, "So, if we can solve the Moriarty problem, would you make me 'real'?"
Wesley shook his head, "You know I can't do that Robin. What would the real Robin say? She might not be happy about having an identical twin sister."
She frowned, "Well, you could make me someone else."
Wesley shook his head, "You know I can't. Please stop asking." Then he walked up and stroked her hair. "What did you want to show me?" She told him the code, and he said the words, since he made sure that he was the only one who could initiate them. "Computer, initiate program Crusher Tango Uniform 69."
To his shock, he began to dissolve in a transporter effect! He never fully vanished, but something was going on. When he re-materialized, he looked down and saw that he was female and naked. In a mirror 'she' saw that she was now...
