"So, how are we getting out of here?" Ryan asked. "I know we said car but where do we even begin finding one?"
"We can one of campus' vehicles. I think they'd fit us all in." Diana chimed in. The other seven looked over to her while she explained.
"I know that its across from us, but on the way there, we can head into lounge 235. Hopefully, there are keys still there."
"How do you know that?" Laura inquired.
"I used to carpool using it. It randomly came up." The others absorbed that information but a reasonable question did come up.
"But what if the key's gone, what then?" Spoke Julie. They ruminated on that fact before Hannah rushed in. She told the group about how her keys were still in her dorm. Hailey barged in with her own words, informing the group that her friend had left their keys in her cabinet. The group was split between two options, Diana's and Hannah and Hailey's. They group, decided their best option was to split into two teams. With Ryan, Mark, Diana, and Laura on one team. Hailey, Hannah, Jack, and Julie on the other.
"We'll meet back near Turner Street. Whoever comes first waits for the other group. If we're not there in the next hour, then leave." Ryan informed.
"But what if a group's there and they don't have a car? Do they wait?" Julie said.
"Some of those buildings, you know those tiny ones that just dot the street, can fit us inside. They doorways are too small for any of those freaks to get in. You know what? I'll tell you how to get inside one of them." Ryan responded. He walked over to the Hannah's group and informed them of how to get inside. Finished, the two group split apart.
Diana walked behind Mark and Ryan, Laura besides her. She looked out the window to spot any infected student. It had already been a week since the campus had been afflicted. Most of the infected had already moved themselves to other places. Luckily for the group they didn't have to deal with the giants. In the distance, Diana could see a naked woman, ninety feet tall loom over a nearby neighborhood. Thankfully, not in the direction they were heading. She could see massive forms lay across the soft grass of their campus' yard.
It was absurd to look at their forms. Cartoonish and grotesque. Diana, however, swore she caught the briefest hint of longing from Laura while they walked. She quickly put that thought away due to paranoia.
