Chapter #3Suburbia-A Couple's Gain, Loss, and Life by: Unknown We join a lesbian couple just past their second year anniversary as they struggle with the virus and the changes it brings...
Keiko: A tad shy at meeting new people, she nonetheless took the initiative and asked her future wife out. With long dark hair, brown eyes, and a kind heart, she does her best to cope with the new world she wakes up to.
Elly: Far more outgoing than her wife but fiercely protective of Keiko, Elly's usual approach to life involves taking things one day at a time. Brash, confident, and a little hot-headed, Elly strives to still be her wife's pillar of support even as the virus changes the entirety of humanity. Shoulder-length red hair, dark eyes, and a world-beating grin ensure that she's ready for just about anything, even a fattening plague.

Keiko opened her eyes to a few rays of sunlight streaming through the bedroom window, noticing soon after that her wife wasn't cuddling up against her. Despite Elly's outgoing tomboyish-demeanor, she craved cuddles when they were in bed. Sitting up fully, the Japanese-American called out for her wife, receiving a panicked whimper in response from the slightly open bathroom door.
Eyes narrowing, Keiko got up and dashed over towards the source of that whimper. Elly never sounded like that.
Opening the door, she gaped a bit but soon had her wife in her arms.
Or as much of her as she could hold onto.
Elly was fat. Not strictly obese but certainly up there in weight. Her stomach was a pot-belly verging on gut and her rear was even larger than that, the red-head trembling a bit as she looked into the mirror, finally realizing that her wife was holding her.
"I...I was burning up and came in here to see if I had a flu and then I...I felt full and then I looked down and-" but she was cut off by her own whimpers as she broke down, Keiko murmuring what comfort she could while recalling a few news reports from last week about bizarre cases of people expanding...transforming...all over the world.
But what she thought was just a series of panic typical in a twenty four hour news cycle was now terribly real.
"You're still my wife, Elly, regardless of your size, and we'll get through this together, I promise."
"Y-yeah," Elly replied, a ghost of a smile on her face, "we will, won't we?"
Keiko nodded before she faltered a bit, vision growing blurry as she fell forward onto Elly's stomach, her wife's frantic cries the last thing she heard as she passed out... | Members who added to this interactive story also contributed to these: |
