Magical and Technological Puberty.

"His power is about to spike, meaning Chris' power will follow suit shortly after." worried, you said. "So far, their powers had been low key but now..."

"They're growing up, El." her tone softening, mom said. "They're games are about to reach an all new level, other mad scientists and witches will sense their power and come to recruit them." she placed a light hand onto your cheek, catching a worrisome tear. "You can't isolate them forever, they have to be told the truth of their world."

"How do I tell them we are in the middle of a secret war between mad scientists and witches?" crying slightly, you asked. "I had hoped the fighting would be over by now..."

"Madam head witch is discussing the possibility of peace talks with her brother, Devon Bizarre, the leader of the mad scientist collective." gravely, mom said. "However, the two have never gotten along well so it may end in disaster."

You sighed. "If only they could see what I see in Simon." whispering, I said.

"That is still a mystery to me, my dear." sighing, mom replied. "However, the only way this war is going to end is if someone makes the first move."

It was then you sensed a presence and turned to see Jan and Chris, sitting on the stairs, staring at you and mom in complete shock. Both had tears in their eyes as you sighed. "Kids, listen to me..." you started.

Only Jan and Chris...
