Not concerned with the consequences, Julie charged.
Had she stopped to consider her actions, she would have probably tucked her tail between her legs, darted back into the restroom, and waited for the shooting to stop, but her adrenaline was up and her mind was blank. She was determined to help her friend, and the best way to accomplish that was to take out the son of a bitch trying to shoot him.
She ran low, and she ran fast. Her body was strong and in excellent condition, and she cleared the aisle in under two seconds. Fortunately, the bastard gunman was occupied with his fire fight, and he never saw Julie coming. Launching herself into the air a la Lawrence Taylor, Julie lowered her shoulders and slammed into him.
The collision merged their two bodies into one, and the pair went tumbling past the condoments island, which the gunman had been using for cover. Blind-sided and off-guard, the shooter ended up beneath Julie, his pistol dislodged from his grip and rattling on the floor behind them.
