No one at the school knew it, but when the other students had started to surpass Wanda in height and stand up to her bullying she had become scared and sought protection. For her protection came from the wrong crowd - a gang that had claimed it's turf not far from the school. Wanda had made her way into the gang as a girlfriend of one of it's members and had hoped to use her new found 'friends' to help her keep bullying her previous 'friends'.
The problem was, Wanda wasn't exactly in control in the gang. Like most of the girls in the gang she was actually more a victim than a member. She had bonded with the other girls over shared tears when casual mistreatment would turn to outright violence when a boyfriend would have a bad day, or be overly eager to have a good one. Wanda had been looking for a way out of the gang for months now, but it was made very clear what going to the police would earn her. Besides, as a bully herself, ratting someone out never would have been her way.
But now, as a gang of one... check that, an ARMY of one... Wanda didn't need to get out of the gang any more. Now she could run it. Even better, she could help her girlfriends in the gang to turn the tables on the guys. Soon, the guys would know what it meant to be subjected to the whims of someone bigger and stronger than you.
Wanda grabbed the machine and with little effort hefted it above her head. The salesman started to yell out for her to stop, but a casual shove sent him sprawling. She saw that the device was connected to the wall by a simple cord and she yanked on it to pull it free from the wall. A sound above her caused her to look up at the machine she had rested on her shoulder. The moment the machine had been unplugged a humming noise had started and lights and alerts flickered across it's surface. The humming seemed to be building up, intensifying. What was the machine about to do?
