My mom gently knocked on the door, the same as she always did.
"Sweetie, it's dinner time. It's your favorite, sirloin steak!" my mom said.
I jumped.
"Uh... I-I'm not hungry right now!" I said, slightly panicking.
"Why?" my mom replied in a concerned voice.
"C-Cuz, uh... um... I-I had a really big lunch at school, a-and uh, my stomach hurts!" I said in a shaky voice. My mom sighed.
"Well... okay. But be downstairs in... 20 minutes, alright? You don't want your dinner to get cold." mom said, as I heard her walk back downstairs. I took a sigh of relief and then looked down.
My hands were paws. But, at the same time, they weren't paws, because I still had opposable thumbs. But my hand-paws were a little furry, and I had claws...
Still panicking, my gaze darted around the room, trying to find something that could possibly hide my hand-paws and face. But nothing.
