This choice: the girls became younger • Go Back...Chapter #4the girls became younger by: Matisse   Lisa opened her blue eyes and felt the urge to cry. She resisted that strange urge and looked around the room. Everything was dark. Wasn’t morning already?
The girl tried to get up, but then she realized something strange. The crib where she was sleeping into wasn’t her size anymore. It got much bigger. No… that wasn’t true. Looking around in the room, everything seems bigger, yet still proportioned, not like if everything got gigantic. There was just only explanation.
The girl looked down at herself, and she froze in terror. Opening and closing her mouth like a fish in surprise, she realized that her body got shorter and thinner.
“I’m shrinking!” she exclaimed, scared.
In hearing her own voice, she felt again the urge to cry: it was the exact same voice of when she was not older than 5 years old.
As they heard their friend voice, both Fiona and Wendy woke up. In horror, both realized the same things Lisa had experienced before them.
The girls were incapable of seeing each other in the darkness, but they could hear each other.
While Lisa was still shocked and was trying to don’t burst into tears, Wendy began to cry loudly, incapable of contain herself.
Fiona, the more rational of the three girls, tried to stay calm. She took a deep breath, and said aloud “Come on, girls. There must be an explanation. Use your reason.”
Her voice of a 5-years-old didn’t give much credibility to her words, however. She sounded more like a child that tries to act tough.
“What is the meaning of this?!” Lisa exclaimed, while Wendy continued to cry uninterruptedly.
“Seem like we are regressed to when we were five.” Fiona reasoned aloud, touching her chin. She was so cute in doing so that it was really a pity that the dark room prevented everyone to see it.
“But this is impossible!” Lisa shouted “Age regression doesn’t exist! You only find it in fictions!”
“You are right.” Fiona said, before looking in Wendy’s direction and exclaim “Wendy! For God’s sake! Stop crying!”
Wendy continued to sob, replying “I’m sorry. I can’t stop.”
“Ok, we have no clue on what’s happening.” Lisa said “Why don’t we sleep till tomorrow? Maybe it’s just a weird dream.”
“Yes, good idea.” said Wendy, nodding her head and calming a little “Maybe is a dream.”
Fiona wasn’t convinced about it. Were all three of them having the same dream? It sounder even more strange and absurd than the idea of been regressed. But she decided to listen to her friend and agreed to sleep on the problem.
The three 5-years-old girls, formerly teenagers, fell all asleep, unaware of an Asian woman that was watching them from another room on a baby monitor.
Moi Mah-mah smiled. Everything went according to plan.
The next morning, the girls woke up. They noticed that…  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
