Wendy woke up the next day and slipped on her shoes without a care in the world. She did notice that they were incredibly comfortable, and somehow cooled off her feet. Wendy had always had a foot odor problem, and she was very embarrassed about it. However, today, she noticed that they didn't stink at all. She couldn't beleive it, little did she know that Natsu was absorbing all of the stink. Wendy went about her day trying to stink up her feet as much as possible as a test to the limits of how much she her feet could handle. At the end of the day, she returned home, and STILL no stink. When she removed her shoes however, the smell exploded. It filled her room like a gas chamber, and made her cough uncontrollably. Luckily she wasn't at the guild. Poor Natsu, Wendy immediately put her shoes began and couldn't understand why this was happening. She ended up sleeping with her shoes on, with Natsu smelling incredible foot stink throughout the whole night.
She woke up the next day and tried her limit with her incredible odor eating shoes again. This time however, she used her Support Dragon Slayer Magic to increase the smell of her feet 100 times over. Still no smell. But for Natsu, the smell was out of this world. He was currently constantly smelling the feet of Lucy, Cana, Evergreen, and Juvia at all times, now with this addition, Natsu's incredible spirit was broken. He simply wanted to disappear. Unfortunately, no such salvation was coming for him. At the end of this day, when Wendy got home again, she smell proofed her room, and removed her shoes. The explosion of foot smell was impossible, but she had to handle it. She inspected her shoes and finally saw that Erza had placed the insoles in her shoes. She also saw Natsu's face in the insoles, but it didn't connect to her that it might be Natsu himself. Wendy then understood that it was the insoles that were fighting the smell. She cutely named the bug "Natsu-nii", despite her not knowing that it really was Natsu. She then said, "I'm really sorry about this Natsu-nii" and used her air magic to suck up all the air in the room, and force it directly into the insoles. It took 3 hours of constant foot stink going into Natsu. it felt like there was a vacuum blowing foot stinky air directly into his nostrils. He was now stained with Wendy's foot scent as well.
The next day Wendy returned to the guild and gave Erza back the insoles. Wendy even convinced Levy that they were created to suck up foot stink and she should really try them.
