“Hey I’m Mark; I’m a college student looking to do some community service over the summer, now I’m not exactly sure how this works but I’ve heard great things about your program, so I figured I would volunteer.” You say proudly
“Thanks for coming Mark; it’s thanks to people like you that our program is so successful. Now what we do is place volunteers like yourself with people who have recently lost loved ones and over they fill the void and allow the people to deal with the lose and say their goodbyes.” The agent says
“Wow that sounds great, so how long does it normally last?” you ask, “Well every case is different, though for the integrity of our program we ask that you remain for the agreed upon period of time.” He says, “Ah I understand, but I will be going back to college in August so will that be a problem?” you ask, “Not at all, we will just narrow our search to those looking for a maximum of two months.” He says
“Great, so I’m ready to go anytime so just let me know when you have something for me.” You say as you begin to stand up. “Well if you’re ready we can get started right now.” The agent says with a smile
“Oh okay, so what do you have for me?” you ask, sitting back down.
“Well we have already processed your application and set the time limit to a maximum of 2 months from today and turned up a few cases: 1) Is a couple dealing with the loss of their teenage daughter. 2) A request from a group of people who recently lost a friend a friend. Should I continue with the options?” He asks
