You bow your head and mumble "fine..." and trudge over to her stereo. You turn her god awful music back on, and as she commanded, turned the volume up even further. Without looking at her, you stalked out to the garage for her soda.
****Change of POV*****
Kelsey felt very smug at bossing her older brother around like that. She knew that her mother would always side with her, no matter what ridiculous lie she made up. As long as what she asked him to do was less painful or annoying than the punishment from Mom, he would do it. She jumped back on her couch and lounged with satisfaction, picking up her book again. This was just like childhood, she would lie about him, and he would get in trouble. They hadn't been talking for a while, and NEVER hung out anymore, so Kelsey had no idea her mother would still side with her on everything, as she wasn't a little girl anymore. But a week ago, she realized it was still the case (after she stole one of his video games as a joke, and her mother yelled at him for trying to get it back from her.)
Kelsey frowned as she looked at her book. Still, she would rather her mother not act this way, for the most part. The reason for this was, her mother really treated her like she shouldn't do ANYTHING. She couldn't go out nearly as late as her brother, she couldn't do anything physical, and she always assumed her brother was smarter and stronger than she was. It pissed her off.
Kelsey turned as her brother came into view with her soda. She hated him mostly because of her mother. She always won in disputes when their mom got involved, but only because she felt he shouldn't be fighting with a girl in the first place. She felt pleasure in making him serve her a soda, like waitstaff, or like a dog getting her some slippers. Just like someone inferior to her.
She watched him try to open her soda with his thumb. She rolled her eyes when he could not. He walked into the room and handed Kelsey her soda "Here." he murmured, and slammed her door.
Kelsey laughed at his embarresment and opened her soda easily with a loud crack, and took a sip.
She stopped dead.
He tried to open it, but couldn't do it, no matter how he tried.
