Chapter #8

Fire and Ice

Deciding on getting some answers herself, Misty asks around Cerulean City for any leads on the Pokérus Virus. The most info she gets is a rumor that the outbreak started in Vermilion, so she goes off towards there. While walking on Route 6, she gets stopped by a Blaziken wearing a ninja mask.

"You can't continue from here. Return from where you came."

"Sorry um..."

"Rooster."

"Rooster, but I need to make my way to Vermilion."

"And I need to make sure you don't infect my Master. Begone Vaporeon. Before I have to hurt you." Rooster says before pulling out his rope dart.

Misty backs up but is still determined to pass the Fire Ninja. "Well, I don't care about your master so let me pass. In case you haven't noticed, I have the type advantage."

Rooster looks pissed. "So you want to suffer." The Blaziken says before throwing his rope dart at Misty. Luckly for her, a blast of ice come out of the forest and hits the rope dart, redirecting it. Rooster then looks at the cryomancer. "Of course, you would have followed me." Misty looks at where Rooster is looking and see a Weavile in the trees wearing a ninja mask as well. The Weavile jumps down in between Misty and Rooster.

"Chill out, Rooster. She is barely a threat." Misty frowns at the Weavile's assessment of her.

Rooster groans, mainly at Weavile's pun. "Khazri, she has the virus. She is a danger to Ace."

Khazri chuckles. "He has four ninjas protecting him at all times. Besides, if she looks that good as a Pokémon, then I think Ace should get the virus too."

Rooster goes to retort, but he can't deny that Misty is more attractive as a Pokémon. Misty hears their conversation and decides to use her new body to her advantage.
