Idea 1: Following Sasuke's defection, the last thing Sakura want's is to lose the closest friend she's ever had since her messy break up with Ino, so she reasons that if Naruto was fattened there would be less chance of him leaving her too.

Idea 2: During her early medical training with Tsunade Sakura asks Naruto to help her with an experiment to help starved POWs return to a healthy weight, but of course something odd happens.
