This choice: Gets to the Hokage office without insudent. Ask Shizune to see Lady Tsunade. • Go Back...Chapter #7A Hero's workout, a Secretary's disbelief. by: FireDragon14   Naruto and Hinata were thankful that they didn’t run into anyone they knew along the way to the Hokage Tower, needing to explain what happened to Hinata would have been… difficult to say the least. However, their greatest challenge was what came after stepping though the large wooden double doors. Stairs. Evil, EVIL STAIRS. Naruto had, to Hinata’s great relief and embarrassment, carried the shy girl up the stairs as carefully and quickly as possible.
*15 minutes later*
Naruto was tired; there was just no other way to say it. Carrying his stomach expanded friend up nearly 5 flights of stairs had been both backbreaking and exhausting. However, he refused to show it, especially when Hinata had been fretting over him since the first step. Speaking of said girl she was now worriedly hovering next to him, her cheeks a faint pink while her right hand sat in front of her mouth, blocking the worried frown from view. But it was her eyes that he noted were most active, as they dashed left to right obviously looking for any excuse she could to get him to sit and rest, even if only for a few moments.
His eyes locked with hers when she turned them to look at him once more. The emotions swirling about in her lavender gaze. Naruto merely gave a small smile, hoping it would show that he was fine. And so with seeing the admittedly reluctant nod they continued walking side-by-side towards the expertly carve large double doors of the Hokage’s office. Stopping only to speak with Shizune to see if they could speak to Lady Tsunade. The reaction they got, though expected still surprised them.

Shizune was having a typical day. She had arrived early, as was the norm. and proceeded to sort the mission request they had got recently as well as gather to beginnings of her Masters paperwork that she would need to organize, sign or void. Then as normal she had to fight with said Master and Leader of Leaf village just to get her to sign a single document. Then came a quick lunch followed by dragging in more papers for Tsunade to look over. Now that she seemed to finally have some peace she gets a visit from Naruto and Hinata asking to see Tsunade.
Now if Naruto had simply rushed thru and busted down the door only to start complaining, which would follow by an argument and a flying blond missile, courtesy of one tick-off old lady, then it would still be an average day. But, Naruto actually comes walking up to her desk and 'asks' permission to speak to the Hokage wasn’t weird and nerve racking enough, he brings a girl that looks an awfully lot like Hinata with him. The kicker to this now no-longer normal day… the girl is pregnant, heavily so.
Due to this it took a few moments to simply go through the motions but, was able to inform them that Tsunade was in a important meeting with one of her high ranking ANBU and asked the two to simply take a seat on one of the couches, hopefully without staring to intently at the mostly covered belly that stuck out in front of the young Hyuga. Watching as they proceeded to take a seat the now frayed-minded burnet could only think of four exasperatingly familiar words to describe what she was feeling. ‘I need a drink!’
