“Hey, human.” Eda snapped her fingers. “I said to dance.”
Suddenly, Luz’s collar began glowing, and her body started moving against her will. She tried to fight it, but the collar’s magic was too much. “Ugh! Hey, uh, y-you’re doing it wrong,” she spoke up when she saw Eda try to sell an old TV as a box that reflects sadness.
“Doing what wrong?” Eda irately asked.
“That box does a lot more. Want me to show you?” Luz offered as the collar compelled her into numerous absurd and strenuous poses that could only loosely be called dancing.
“Eh, go nuts.” Eda snapped her fingers, ending the spell.
Luz collapsed mid-pose and touched her collar. It pulsed as though alive, reminding her the spell could reactivate on a moment’s notice. However, deciding not to dwell, she quickly picked herself up, grabbed the batteries, and slipped them into the TV. It turned on, revealing an old VHS tape still in the slot that started playing, attracting many people’s attention.
“Huh. That was pretty clever, for a human,” Eda praised as she began handling the growing crowd of customers. “Ya know, if you can pull more tricks like that, maybe I ought to keep you.” Eda then gave Luz a look that made the teen girl blush.
“Uh, that sounds great, and all, but is there any way we could, ya know, make some kind of deal?”
“Well, given that you’re wearing a collar that enslaves you to the owner’s will, I don’t see why I should,” Eda replied. “But whatever. I’m in a good mood, so I’ll humor you. What’s the deal, kid?”
Luz took a breath as she braced herself. “There are all kinds of wild and crazy human things I bet you’ve never seen. For instance, none of the stuff on the candy tray is actual candy.”
“It’s not?” asked a grotesque, hippo-like humanoid as it munched on lipstick.
“I can show you what this stuff is really for, which would help you sell it,” Luz continued. “Maybe, we can set a goal? If I help you sell so many, uh, snails, then you let me go. Is that fair?”
Eda hummed as she stroked her chin. “You’ve got a deal, kid.”
“Hurrah!” Luz cheered with her hands in the air.
“—Is what I would say if you weren’t already wearing the collar. Now, I can just force you to do that stuff anyway.”
“Hurroo,” Luz drearily replied as her hands flopped to her sides.
“But I like your moxie. Luz, was it?” Eda waited for Luz to nod. “Well, Luz, here’s my counter offer. We’ll treat it as a debt. If you make me ten million snails, I’ll remove the collar. And for the record, this”—she gestured to her wares—“isn’t my only hustle. If you do other, more lucrative work, you can reach your goal even faster. Of course, I’ll have to add to your debt for things like food, a bed, and so on.”
“What? You basically kidnapped me. Why do I have to—?”
“Hey, keeping slaves is expensive, kid,” Eda cut in. “And I’m already being generous by even entertaining this deal. Or would you rather I just eat you and be done with it?”
Luz blinked and straightened, having already seen those words were no idle threat in this place. “I guess I can be frugal for a while,” she conceded.
“That’s the spirit!” Eda cheered. “Now, get back to dancing, and put some oomph in it this time.”
“Uh, yeah. S-sure thing,” Luz apprehensively agreed. The situation was less than ideal. However, she was still impressed that she’d gotten this much from her owner. Nnngh. Just thinking the word made her knees tremble and her panties moisten. Her excitement only grew when the monsters and humanoids started praising her foreign dance moves. Luckily, Luz never had stage fright, so she happily started busting more elaborate moves, attracting even more customers to Eda’s delight. Getting back on point, Eda didn’t seem like a bad person. Or, at least, she wasn’t needlessly cruel. Luz hoped she could play on the older woman’s sympathies and potentially work off the debt even faster.
Finally, Eda ran out of stock, and the customers stopped coming. “Woo. I haven’t sold out that fast in years. Great job, Luz. You really helped pull in the crowds.”
“I actually had a lot of fun,” Luz admitted, out of breath. “People back home said I dance weird, but you guys were strangely supportive. So, how much did you make?”
Eda looked in her purse, where she’d dumped all the cash. “Eh, quite a bit. I’ll count it later.”
“Um, I’d really like it if you could count it now,” Luz meekly requested. “I want to know how much left I have to go. It can’t be that much, right?”
“Kid, the hottest selling item today was that TV thing, and it went for a hundred snails. I could have sold it for forty without your help, making your cut sixty. Ya following me, so far?”
“I think so,” Luz said, pursing her lips. “So, I’m nowhere close, huh?”
“Not even. Also, when I say your cut, you don’t actually get anything. All that money is mine. That’s just what goes to your debt.”
“Well, ugh, why did you have to put this stupid thing on me in the first place!?” Luz snapped, stomping her foot like a toddler.
“Because you let me,” Eda said matter-of-factly. Then, feeling sorry for the young sucker, she leaned forward, closer to Luz’s level. “Look, Luz. It’s nothing personal. But in the Boiling Isles, you either keep on your toes, or someone sweeps you off your feet, and I don’t mean in a good way. Uh… Luz?” She followed the girl’s line of sight to her hefty breasts, gave a sly grin, and snapped her fingers.
“Huh? What? Where am I?” Luz asked as though waking from a trance.
“And that just proves my point,” Eda added. “You’re weak, human. If I didn’t snag you, someone else would have. Hopefully, you’ll take this lesson to heart, and you won’t be so easy to scam next time.”
“Next time?” Luz questioned, calming a little.
Eda chuckled and affectionately tapped Luz’s shoulder. “Trust me. There’s always a next time. Now, let’s get our asses home.” Eda then jumped in the air, carrying Luz with her as she levitated the staff beneath them like a witch’s broom. The owl’s wings unfolded, and the pair took off into the sky.
It took Luz several seconds to unclench and take in the sights as vast alien landscapes flew by. Eda explained how the Boiling Isles were the source of all humanity’s myths, from griffons to giraffes. Moreover, the isles themselves were actually the remains of a truly colossal creature known as the Titan. Seeing it all, Luz was filled with equal amounts of horror and awe. Then Eda caressed her butt, making her squeal. She tried to pull away, but there was nowhere to go on the staff.
“Sorry. Didn’t mean to startle you. Just checking the goods.”
Luz gulped as her heart raced, forcing herself to allow this molestation. She tried to speak, but her voice failed.
Eda shrugged nonchalantly. “As I said, you’re a prime cut of meat, human. And since you’re gonna be staying with me for a while, I figured I’d do you a favor and break you in. Now, get over here.”
The collar compelled Luz to back up against Eda’s belly. The tall woman’s heavy chest rested atop Luz’s head, obscuring the upper half of her vision. They smelled nice, and it was fun to move her head and make them bounce. Eda went further by running a hand from Luz’s budding breasts to over her crotch through her shorts. The spell stopped her from resisting the humiliating violation. However, at the same time, Luz felt herself getting wetter by the second.
“Ohhh, I’ve had dreams that didn’t start this good,” Luz purred.
“I’m really digging your attitude, human,” Eda praised. “Sluts are better when they’re happy.”
However, before Luz could inquire further, they finally landed. Eda released the spell to let Luz dismount on her own as they headed for the witch’s home. It was like a cross between a castle and an old house with character. It had an unusual charm that practically screamed the owner was a magic-user. Luz would definitely buy the book with this place on the cover. And, once they got past the mildly annoying door decoration named Hooty, the inside was just as fantastically charming.
“Ya know, if not for the whole slavery thing, I might have volunteered to stay here. This place is amazing,” Luz admitted. Then she noticed a predatory glint in Eda’s eyes.
