Chapter #6Gentle wolf-girl by: irven   You stare into the wolf-girl's enormous blue eyes. You're completely frozen in fear, not even able to squirm the slightest in her firm grip. She gazes at you, seeming to judge your tiny body held helplessly in her paw-hand... and then she smiles gently.
"Hello, little guy," she says. You stare in response, and she makes a pouty face.
"Oh come on, no need to be shy! What's your name?"
You still don't respond, still too afraid and shocked to do anything. The wolf-girl sighs and brings up her other hand. You're worried what she'll do with it, but to your surprise, she begins to gently pat your head.
"Aw... you're afraid," she says quietly. "Y'know, I'd be too, if a giant creature came and snatched me up. I'm sorry if I scared you... But, if you don't mind, I don't think I'll release you--for a while at least. I have no idea what you are or where you came from, but it must be dangerous for something your size to be all alone."
You smile slightly and nod, and finally regain your speech. "Th-thanks," you say. "Y-you're not going to hurt me, then? Promise?"
"Of course not!" the wolf-girl says with a grin. The number of sharp teeth in said grin doesn't help calm you though. She notices and seals her lips again, giving a smaller smile without showing any teeth.
"Alright, let's get going," she says. "It's getting late, and I don't want anybody to see us. It'd be best to keep you a secret... Except... there's one person I might want to contact and show you to... I was just talking with a friend, who found something like you. Maybe she knows mroe about what you are and how you got here."
You're unsure if it would be a good idea to let this wolf-girl inform others about you. She seems gentle, but you're afraid that others might be mroe violent. Before you can offer her your opinion, though, she says...  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
