Manda was older than Jessi by just 55 minutes. Although they were non-identical twins, the girls did look like sisters. Other than the 6 inch difference in their heights which oddly was nearly all in the torso they could've worn the same clothes. Jessi thinks that now she is Manda's height she can wear whatever she wants of Manda's. Manda already dances professionally, at just 18 she's that good. Her life-long dream, however, was to be a prima ballerina. On her 14th birthday she was still a very compact 4' 7" tall with a 30B bust. So she could dance in any ballet that she wanted to. But then puberty hit her very, very hard. In just 20 months, Manda exploded up an entire foot and out to a quite impressive 36DD. Her waist actually shrunk from just over 24 inches to 20 1/2 inches. Manda looked like she was being squeezed tighter like one would a toothpaste tube. At that point, the ballet school dropped her because she had now outgrown it's height limit of 5' 6". Only one of the nearly 20 other schools she applied to was willing to still accept her as a student for the same reason. Ballerinas cannot be to tall due to the fact that the male performers would be unable to lift and hold the girl long enough throughout an entire performance. The school that accepted her had always used men at least 5' 11' or taller. The founders daughter had been a very tall girl. So Manda performs the dances that that school promotes.
Jessi feeling a little mischievous decides to grow Manda even taller than she already is for a joke. Besides Jessi doesn't want Manda to realize right away that she has just instantly grown 6 inches. So remembering a bumper sticker she saw a few days ago on the way to school about the drought, Jessi strips. After closing and locking her bedroom door, so they won't be disturbed. Jessi then quietly opens the door to the shower. Luckily for her, Manda was facing away from the door so Jessi chose to spray her entire back. Which turned out to be a real big goof. When Manda starts growing she doesn't stop growing at 6 inches like Jessi had. By the time Manda has grown 9 inches taller Jessi realizes that she'll have to spray herself again (which she's unhappy about doing since she's already as tall as she really wants to be). Jessi's luck still holds out. Manda doesn't turn around until both of their growing has ended. At which point, the first thing Jessi says to Manda is (partly to distract her) "Sis, I know that you're such a great conservationist that when I heard the water running I just had to jump in the shower with you. Just like that bumper sticker says, {Save water, shower with a friend}.
Manda is a little annoyed with Jessi, but she does have a point. However, looking at Jessi in the shower Manda is now perplexed and becomes some what concerned. Jessi seems to be a little shorter than what Manda remembers seeing her lately. Manda now worries that maybe she hasn't stopped growing taller and hadn't noticed it until just now. She soaps up her sister and they share the water and nothing else for the remainder of the shower. It's when Manda goes to step out of the shower that she really panics. Banging her head against the top of the 8 foot tall solid shower curtain pole Manda screams a High C that wakes everyone up on their block. Jessi is also surprised when she notices that she is now about 7 1/2 feet tall. The only reason that she's not totally happy about this new situation is that she'll have to buy an entire new wardrobe if she chose to stay this tall. Since Manda got dizzy when she hit her head she starts to stagger around in the bathroom. Which worries Jessi, because she's not sure she could safely catch her sister if she now faints or collapses.
