"Man, something felt missing from doing that, but I'm not sure what," MacGruber noted as he crawled back in through the flap and stood back up. With a few barks, you were somehow able to communicate wanting to visit Katie with him.
"Yeah, that could be fun, but didn't you say she thinks you're weird or something?" MacGruber asked, "I mean, you taught me to get mad at her when I saw her." You thought for a moment, then through more barks communicated that you think she might change her mind.
"If you say so," MacGruber said as he started walking towards the front door while you started doing the same. Just before you actually left the house, however, MacGruber picked up his leash, put it around his neck and then threw the other end down at you. The reality changes seem to have made it one that you were able to put around your paw as you walked on all fours... which you only just realized you were doing. Still, you put it around your paw, and got up on your hind legs to try and unlock and open the door.
"Should I help?" MacGruber asked, and you just shook your head no. Right afterwards, however, you were having a bit of difficulty with the key and handle, but eventually got them open. Dropping back to all fours, you barked at MacGruber to help with closing the door.
"Gotcha," he replied as he took the key out of the door, then once you both got outside he locked the door shut and put the key in one of the back pockets of his jeans. Once that was done, the two of you walked down the street. Nobody seemed to find the sight of a dog walking a human weird, as expected. Once you made it across the street, you walked back over to Katie's house and got up on your hind legs to ring the doorbell.
"Just a minute!" you heard your old voice call, obviously Katie. Now, Katie was definitely hot - well, she was before you took her body then gave it to your dog - but Katie's negative opinion of you went both ways and her view of you as a weirdo creep made you view her as a judgmental bitch. She wasn't a bully or dumb, and while you did sometimes get along you generally avoided each other. However, if MacGruber was anything to go by, if your body was affecting her personality like you suspected she might be a little more agreeable now. Eventually, she opened the door and you saw her smile quickly turn to a frown while she stood there with your former body.
"Oh, great, you've come to try and scare me with McGregor again," Katie remarked.
"It's MacGruber!" your humanized dog retorted, though this made you wonder if Katie could understand him now... or you, since you were now communicating via surprisingly intelligible dog barks. Either way, Katie didn't pay him any attention.
"So, what do you want?" You barked at her that you wanted to try smoothing things out at least a little bit now that you were neighbors and high school was behind you, and she sighed and opened the door for you, apparently being able to understand that.
"Well, come in, then," Katie instructed, as you and MacGruber made your way into her living room and sat down on the couch [well, you were more like lying down on it] before removing his leash while Katie sat on an armchair. "So, um... what did you want to talk about?" You bark to ask her how she's been today, really a test to see if the swap has had any effects. She begun to tell you about how...
