Moments later, Edward began to stir out of his sleep. He feels something like a blanket draped over his bare skin, which is odd since he doesn’t recall stripping before he went to sleep. The memories of the weird stone and the painful results that came after swallowing it flood back into his mind. Edward’s eyes shoot open and he sits up while looking around him. The “blanket” he felt was all around him, trapping him in darkness. The air reeked of BO…a strangely familiar BO. At first he thinks the stone had knocked him unconscious and he had been stuffed in a bag, but this was way too big to be a bag. Also, as far as he could tell, he wasn’t moving. With confusion fueling him, the young swordsman decides to see if he can make his way out by climbing up. Ignoring the fact he’s naked, Edward climbs through several layers of strange fabric before he spots light filtering through the walls. He heads for that light and eventually breaks through to the surface, taking in a big breath of air.
It takes some time for his eyes to get used to the light, but once they do he sees that he hasn’t moved at all. He’s still in his tent…except everything is much, MUCH bigger. Still with a puzzled expression, Edward lifts himself all the way out of his prison and starts to walk forward. He soon trips over something and looks at his foot. It’s a gigantic button! Not only that, it’s HIS button. To HIS shirt! The truth collapses on Edward like a ton of bricks; that stone had shrunk him to bug size and he had just crawled out of his own, oversized clothes!
“That stone was supposed to make people notice me, not make it so NO ONE could notice me!” Edward screamed, boiling with anger. If this was a prank, it wasn’t the least bit funny. When he got back to his normal size, he was definitely going to find the person that did this and definitely gut them! The pissed off swordsman made is way off the pile of clothes and onto his sleeping bag. He sat down for a moment to think. What was he supposed to do now? He needed to find help, but going outside to look for some would be suicide! At his pathetic size, he might get picked up by a bird and eaten. He decided to wait patiently for someone to come to him. He didn’t have to wait that long as he started to hear the slamming of boots approaching the tent. The stomping got louder as the entrance of the tent was pushed back and someone entered.
